Online Gambling: Caribbean Poker Game

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

A Caribbean Poker game can be fun and lucrative. It combines the fun of poker with the luck of a bonus draw. Poker players can test their skill in one facet and their luck in another (even though poker is half luck anyway). The rules are different than most poker games so make sure you read up before playing.

In a Caribbean poker game, you have the option to ante, bet and play the bonus. The ante and bonus are put out before the deal and the bet after you have seen your cards. If you dont want to bet, you can fold and forfeit your ante. If you play, you risk losing your ante and your bet (or winning on them).

The bonus is where the fun is. If you hit a bonus hand when you have money on the button, you could win thousands of dollars. Depending on the system (progressive or set), if you hit a hand such as a royal flush, you are going to a walk away with a huge amount of money.

Caribbean Poker Game Set Up
The set up is simple. The dealer is the house. There can be up to eight players, but most casinos will limit it to less. Everyone plays against the house meaning that one anothers cards are inconsequential to each other. The object is to beat the dealer. Each player will get five cards face down and the dealer gets four cards down and one up.

Developing a Caribbean Stud Poker strategy is not easy. This game has many steps and methods. Since you have to take the bonus, the card showing, your hand and your money into consideration, you are going to be constantly evaluating the table and your abilities.

The Best Caribbean Stud Poker Strategy
There is no clear cut best Caribbean Stud Poker strategy. People like playing their own way, win or lose. The bonus is argued up and down because it is so hard to win. For many players, it is just donating a dollar per round. But if you were to hit the bonus and not bet it, you would be missing out on a tremendous amount of money.

As for the poker part, certain people will give you their own opinion. The up card is going to have little meaning to a player. If it is low, you know that they have one low card, but you dont know if they paired on it or what. It is not necessarily a bad thing to know about a hand, but it by no means dictates the dealers hand.

The best method is to just play your hand. If the dealer has an ace showing and you cannot beat an Ace King, then you should probably drop. But, just look at your hand and the luck you have been having. Try to focus on whether or not you think the hand you have will win. It is your only real evaluation of cards

Online Gambling: Caribbean Stud Poker Tips

Caribbean Stud poker tips begin with knowing the game before you put your money down. This is not a typical game. While it is not hard to catch on to, it is not automatically known by every card player. If you have not played before, make sure that you read the rules and legal plays.

Taking Caribbean Stud Poker Tips the Right Way
Caribbean Stud poker tips are different and should be taken in a different way. This game has multiple levels with open options. Many will tell you not to play the bonus while others will tell you that it is the only way to play. It will enable you to win the big jackpot, but could just make your money go faster.

The next tip refers to the dealers up card. If it is not an ace or king, disregard it. Those are the only two cards that you can get a feel for because they are the qualifiers. If the card is lower, it has to be paired up or part of something larger in order for it to hurt you. Therefore, do not pay too much attention to that card.

Make sure that you look at your hand to evaluate the situation. If you have a lousy hand, then it is often time to drop and lose your ante. If you feel that you can win or the dealer has a lousy hand, you can play. But the more times you rely on the dealer not qualifying, the more money you are going to lose.

Online Gambling: Caribbean Draw Poker

Caribbean draw poker holds the same basic format of Caribbean Stud, except that it incorporates a draw in the middle. This means that you will get the opportunity to draw up to two more cards after your hand is dealt. In stud, the five cards you are dealt in the beginning are the only ones that you get for the entire game.

Learning Caribbean Draw Poker
Caribbean draw poker is easy to learn if you know how to play the original Caribbean game; Stud. You are going to get five cards dealt to you face down. The dealer will also get five cards, but one will be facing up. You then evaluate your cards and decide whether you are going to stay in or fold. If you fold, you lose your ante.

If you think that you can beat the dealer, then you have to put out twice the amount of your ante as a bet. Then, you will be able to draw up to two cards. The dealer also has the opportunity to draw up to two cards as well. After the draw, your final hand is set.

The dealer needs a pair of eights or better to qualify. If the dealer does not have that high of a hand, you win your ante at one to one and the bet is nullified. If you beat the dealer after he qualifies, then you win both at one to one, unless your hand is huge; where you would win a specified amount. If you have a lower hand, you lose everything.
